PS2 to Amiga Mouse Adapter
Hardware Amiga Retro DIY
A complete KiCad project and firmware for adapting PS/2 mice to the Commodore Amiga’s mouse protocol.
Project Overview
The Amiga used a proprietary mouse protocol that’s incompatible with modern PS/2 mice. This adapter board converts PS/2 mouse signals to Amiga-compatible quadrature encoding.
What’s Included
- KiCad PCB design — Custom board files ready for fabrication
- Gerber files — Production-ready fabrication files
- Firmware — Microcontroller code for protocol conversion
- Documentation — Build instructions and schematics
Hardware
- Custom PCB with PS/2 connector and Amiga mouse port
- Microcontroller for protocol translation
- Through-hole design for easy assembly
